For the characterization of ICF plasmas, A 2ω probe laser at the xingguang-Ⅱ laser facility was implemented. A total energy of >5J,a focal spot size of order 100μm was demonstrated for target shots. It fulfills high-power requirements for laser-plasma interaction experiments. The 2ω probe laser is now routinely used for laser-plasma diagnostics experiment.
