Electric fields radiated by ESD are studied experimentally with a mono pole antenna. Experiments showed that fields radiated by ESD are narrow pulses in time domain, and the fields can reach several kilovolts per meter when the discharge occurred at a few centimete rs from the unit under test. The frequency range of the fields is severaltens megahertz to several hun dreds megahertz．
