Numerical study of Kr gaspuff pinch plasmas

  • This paper presents a twodimensional threetemperature physical model of Zpinch plasmas and its numerical methods. A twodimensional radiation magnetohydrodynamics code called Zpinch2DDG is developed, which numerically simulates Kr gaspuff plasma implosion based up on the real experimental parameters on the Qiang Guang1 generator. The evolutional pictures of the plasma density and temperature are given, and Xray radiation is analyzed physically. As a result, some universal conclusions about gaspuff implosion are summarized.
