This paper introduces one non-interceptive beam intensity measurement by using a cylindrically capacitive which is originally used for the measurements of beam bunch length and central phase. The induced signal from the probe now is used for measuring simultaneously all the three beam characteristics for around m A heavy ions at HIRFL accelerator complex. The measurement principle for beam intensity and the system structure are presented. Applying the technique of virtual instruments to the system is described briefly. The preliminary experimental results are also given.
