A linear dispersion relation of the Virtual Cathode Oscillator (VCO) is obtained using the single charge sheet model.Considering the interaction of the injected beam,reflected beam, and transmitted beam with VCO,the nonlinear dispersion relation is psented.Then,the reason of the wide band of VCO is analysed,and the mechanics of VCO is given from the nonlinear dispersion relation.
