The design method of the high voltage and the fast response time pulse transformer used in the condition of low load impedance was introduced. A nominal voltage 600kV pulse transformer used in a modulation type accelerator was designed with this method and the results of the experimental value consistent with the theoretical value are obtained. It showed that the design method is feasible and can be used in the design of higher voltage pulse transformers ．
