The law of laser ablation on gold target is studied, it is the basic field of hohlraum physics. A measuring method of ablated thickness of Au plane targets has been described. To measure the ablated thickness of Au plane targets is practicable. During the experimental period, the X ray streak camera can't work, the effort to measure the ablation time of Au plane targets has failed.
