INFLUENCE OF TRANSVERSE FIELD COMPONENT IN A LIA ON EMITTANCE GROWTH OF THE ELECTRON BEAM

  • This paper continues the discussion of reference 1, analysing the influence of the transverse component of the electromagnetic field in the gap of a linear induction accelerator on the emittance growth of the electron beam with a different approach of beam optics. The same result is obtained. Some conclusions are given.
