Research of the saturation characteristic of a Nd3+ doped phosphate glass under short pulse

Based on the Frantz-Nodvik formula, the saturation fluency of a Nd3+ doped phosphate glass under short pulse was obtained, through measuring the small signal gain, input fluency and output fluency of the amplifier whose gain material was made from the glass to be measured. By analyzing of the measured data, the experiential formula of saturation fluency verse output fluency was also obtained. 
