CALCULATION OF TEMPERATURE RAISE InSb (PV) DETECTOR ILLUMINATED BY LASER BEAM

Abstract
The Temperature Raise of the p-n joint in InSb (PV) Detector is obtained using a 1-D model of heat conduction. The effects of heat conductivity and thickness of glue on laser damage threshold and heat recovery time are calculated and discussed. It is pointed out that using the glue of high heat conductivity and making the thickness of the glue as thin as possible are effective for improving the protection of the detector.
