DESIGN AND INEX SIMULATIONS OF THE ELECTRON-BEAM TRANSPORT LINE FOR THE CAEP FIR-FEL FACILITY

  • In this paper. we present the design of the e-beam transport line for the CAEP FIR-FEL facility. Under selected system parameters, the integrated numerical experiment(INEX) simulations show that the following e-beam parameters at the wiggler entrance can be assured. The beam energy is 2MeV, peak current 17A,micropulse length l4ps (FWHM), energy spread(whole) 1.27%, normalized horizontal emittance 14πmm· mrad, and normalized vertical emittance Srmm ·mrad, and normalized brightness 5×lOlOA/m2· rad2, these parameters can be well matchedwith the wiggler.
