NUMERICAL SIMULATIONS OF MILLIMETER WAVE FREE ELECTRON LASER AMPLIFIERS WITH CYLINDRICAL WAVEGUIDE

  • Based on single particle theory, we derived, neglecting space charge effects, equations for millime ter wave FEL amplifiers with cylindrical waveguide and axial guide fields. We computed and analized FEL amplifiers physical models with a entry region and a constant wiggler for two groups of parameters using CAGFEL code. For the second group, we examined effects of input power, microwave frequency and wiggler amplitude on total output power separately.
