TRANSPORTING OF INTENSE ELECTRON BEAMS FOR THE 10MeV LIA

  • This paper des cribes the schematic and testing way of the beam transport for the 10MeV Linear Induction Accelerator(LIA)and analyzes the effect of the beam transverse motions on transporting of beams. The analytical and experimental results show that the main problem causing instable transporting of beams comes from the transverse motions of beams. As the beams are stably trans-ported, an energy 10.4MeV,current 2.6kA,100ns(FWHM)intense electron beam can be obtained.
