EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION ON FAST IONS STOPPING BY PLASTIC FOILS

  • An experimental investigation on fast ions stopping by plastic foils has been made.The investigation shows that foils of a thickness over than 0.6μm can effectively stop fast ions.This result is essentially important for the foundation of a high pure X-ray radiation field in aindirectly driven laser fusion target.To satisfy the specific requirement of fast ions diagnostics,the feature of Faraday charge collector has been improved.
