THE SOLUTION AND THE STUDY OF THE COUPLED RATE EQUATIONS IN HIGH TEMPERATURE AND HIGH DENSITY PLASMAS

Abstract
Numerous and stiff coupled rate equations describing ionic charge-state distribution and the level populations is solved rapidly by using quasi-static state approximation. The physical meaning of the matrixes (Wm)-1 and Tg defined in this paper is discussed and was used to give ideas on ionic charge-state distribution and the level populations. The Ne/Te objective region for 3d5/2-2p3/2 transitions in H-like C recombination X-ray lasers is obtained. The conclusion that ion abundance us electron density at an electron temperature may have two peaks is derived. Z-scaling law is also obtained. Finally, the effect of auto-ionization and dielectronic capture process and that whether the ionic charge -state distribution fits the binomial distribution are inspected.
