ANALYSES AND RESEARCH FOR EXPERIMENTAL CONDITIONS OF RAYLEIGH-TAYLOR INSTABILITY IN AN ABLATIVELY ACCELERATING PLASMA

  • Rayleigh-Taylor(R-T) instability,which produeed by ablative acceleration due to high power laser and radiation, is a very important subject in the con-text of inertial confinement fusion. The requirements about R-T instability experiments have been discussed in the paper.By taking the ablative stabilization into account,the de-pendenee of integrating growth exponent on the intensity and duration time of driven source,the perturbation wavelength in linear phase of R-T instability has been com-puted with analytical formula to special plastic target; the interesting physics pictures have been given,the pro bab ility conducting these exporiments on Shenguang Ⅱ facility have been discussed.
