TRANSPORT OF ELECTRON BEAMS IN THE 3.3MeV LIA

  • The acceleration and transport of electron beams in the 3.3-\mathrmMeV LIA are simalated using the Electron Trajectory code SLAC-226, and the obtained results are compared with the solutions of envelope equations derived from the nonlinear theory of the electron beam transport. Both the code and the envelope equations take account of the self-electromagnetic field and applied electromagnetic field of the beam current.
