COLLISIONAL EXCITATION STRENGTHS OF Li-LIKE IONS BY ELECTRONS BETWEEN CONFIGURATIONAL ENERGY LEVELS

  • We use distorted-wave method and our program MCDW(9)to calcu-late the collisional strengths for Li-like ions of C,Ne,Si,Ti,Fe,Cu and Ge(principal quantum number n≤7 )between configurational energy levels, the results have been com-pared with the fully-relativistic values given by Sampson et al2.The laws for the collisional strengths variation with effective nuclear charge Z* and n have been ana-lysed.
