A SEMI-CLASSICAL THEORY AND NOMERICAL COMPUTATION SRS IN THE ATMOSPHERE

  • In this paper,we present the dynamical equations for the Stimulated Raman Scat-tering under the semiclassical description form the fundamental principals of the quantum mechan-ics,and analyze in theory to point out that the semi-classical description will reduce to the clas-sical case when ΔE,the difference between the upper and lower energy levels,is large enough(ΔE>> kT).Making numerical simulation of the above-mentioned equations,we analyze effectsof the Stimulated Rotational Rarnan Scattering(SRRS)of strong laser beams in the atmos-phere,including Raman transforming property, the threshold of the SRRS and the influence of“the memory of the molecule”upon the propagation of the pulse series.
