ANALYSIS OF THERMOELASTIC BENDING WAVES IN PLATES WITH PULSED THERMAL DEPOSITION

Abstract
The bending effect of a thermal energy deposit zone in a plate irradiated by a pulsed Gaussian heat radiation on the propagation of thermoelastic waves due to the spatial temperature gradient is investigated. The dynamic equation for thermal bending is induced from the classical Barnoulli -Euler theory. Using Laplace and Hankel transformations the displacements of plate are calculated for both cases of short rectangular pulse and continuous wave. The results agree with the experimental data in ref. 8.
