Abstract
A pulsed power system of an accelerator module for the Linear Induction Accelerator is presented. A 350kV,90ns(FWHM)voltage pulse across the accelerating gap has been obtained. The jitter of the main switch is less than 1. 5ns(RMS). Further improvement on the performance of the coaxial field distortion switch is discussed, and it is pointed out that the operating voltage of the switch can be increased by 8.7%,if the triggering electrode of the switch is biased by means of equi-field-strength.
