SIMULATIONS FOR THERMIONIC FIELD EMISSION MICROWAVE GUNS USING PARMELA PROGRAM WITH VARIABLE PARTICLE NUMBER

Abstract
The input number of particles at every time step in PARMELA program is determined by the cathode's current of thermionic field emission according to Schottky equation in this paper. The PARMELA program with variable particle number can be used for the dynamical calculation of thermionic field emission microwave guns to improve unreasonable figures resulted from the direct use of PARMELA program without any revision.
