STUDY OF THE STABILITY OF A HIGH VOLTAGE GAS SWITCH

By use of the 2MV pulse generator, thispaper studied the stability of a 2MV SF。pulse gas switch influenced by the material and shape of the switch electrodes. According to the breakdown mark on the smooth electrode, the switch couldwork more stably by makinga slot on one electrode. Therefore, the field partial enhancement between the electrodes was of benefit to pulse gas switch's breakdown stability.
