BRAGG CAVITY DESIGN FOR RAMAN FREE ELECTRON LASERS

This paper introduces a practical design of a Bragg cavity that can be used in Raman Free Electron Lasers. If the corrugated wall in FEL interaction region satisfies the Bragg condition, its distributed feedback mechanism creates a Brgg cavity, like a conventional laser. The cavity can effectively choose center frequency, increase electron efficiency and output power of the Raman FEL operating in quasi -single mode regime.
