NUMERICAL SIMULATIONS FOR SHORT WAVELENGTH FEL AMPLIFIERS

  • In this paper, we present a very useful method, MICFEL code, used to simulate the short wavelength FEL amplifiers. MICFEL is a two-dimensional computer code based on the single-particle FEL theory. The numerical simulation results for the Paladin experiment with MICFEL code are given in this paper. They are in good agreement with the simulation results with the FRED code and the results of 25m Paladin experiment, the gain guiding is demonstrated too.
