纪念于敏恩师百岁华诞

Commemorating the centenary of our beloved mentor Yu Min

  • 摘要: 本文回顾了20世纪六七十年代有关激光聚变提出和研究的国际背景,区分了早期激光出中子思想、直接驱动惯性约束聚变(Inertial Confinement Fusion,简称ICF)、间接驱动ICF等概念。其中,间接驱动ICF于1993年底在国际上解密。我国共和国勋章获得者于敏院士,早在20世纪70年代初期便在国内提出了间接驱动ICF的概念,独立地提出并设计了黑腔靶,建立了理论先行的工作模式,在北京应用物理与计算数学研究所组建了理论队伍,提出研究课题并指导研究。他提出的 “目标明确、规模经济、技术先进、物理精密、道路创新”20字方针和“性质相同、量上逼近”的总体研究思路,至今仍是我国ICF研究的指南针。我们的恩师于敏倾尽毕生心血,诠释了 “鞠躬尽瘁,死而后已”的赤胆忠心与英雄气概,将高瞻远瞩、运筹帷幄的雄才伟略悉数奉献给了他挚爱的祖国。

     

    Abstract: This paper reviews the international backdrop of the proposal and research on laser fusion in the 1960s and 1970s, and differentiates concepts such as the neutron generation with powerful lasers, direct-drive inertial confinement fusion (ICF), and indirect-drive ICF. Indirect-drive ICF was not declassified internationally until the end of 1993. Academician Yu Min, recipient of China’s Medal of the Republic, proposed the concept of indirect-drive ICF in China as early as the early 1970s. He independently conceived and designed the hohlraum target, established a research mode prioritizing theoretical research, assembled a theoretical research team at the Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics in Beijing, put forward research topics and guided relevant studies. The 20-word guiding principle he formulated — clear objectives, economical scale, advanced technologies, precise physics, innovative approaches — together with the general research philosophy of “identical physical nature and approximated quantitative parameters”, still serve as the guiding compass for China’s ICF research to this day. Our beloved mentor Yu Min devoted his entire life to his cause and motherland, fully embodying wholehearted loyalty embodied in dedication until the last breath, fearless noble spirit, as well as extraordinary foresight and masterly strategic planning.
