Abstract: The experimental facility for and the structure and operation principle of lOGHz CAPRICE ECR ion source are described the influence of parameters including gas flux, magnetic mirror field, microwave power, and extraction voltage on the extracted ion current and the existent problems are introduced. At the same time, the ion yields on high charge states and CW spectra for N, O, Ne, Ar are given.
