Abstract: The influence of COIL operation parameters on the laser perfor mance is studied numerically on the basis of an approximative physical model with the key computation of solving NavierStokes equations. Related results are given and discussed, which are of worth for analyzing experiments and choosing operation parameters in COIL design．
