Abstract: The diagnostics of the chemical oxygen-iodine laser (COIL) device are discussed systematically. It is divided into several diagnostic subsystems such as flow diagnostic, oxygen-iodine flow mixing diagnostic,gain medium diagnostic and resonator diagnostic. The requirement of every diagtic parameter, their measure principles and metnods, are discussed sytematically, some diagnostic examples are also given respectively.
