Abstract: This paper presents the calculation and analysis on the gain characteristics of double-side pumped Ti:sapphire laser amplifiers. Chirped-pulse multipass amplification in Ti: sapphire experiments has been , for the first time in China, conducted here with 106 overall gain and 0.8mJ output energy.
