Abstract: In this paper, the experimental results of shock wave driven by both X -ray and laser light ablation on the LF- 11 laser facility are presented. The signal of shock wave luminescence at the back surface of an aluminium foil was abserved in the experiment. And the results showed that the degree of flatness of shock wave driven by X-ray ablation is better than that by laser ablation.
