Abstract: A thin film target is one of the targettypes usually used in X-ray laser investigation.Understanding processes of ablation by high-laser irradiation is very important, A method measuring the burn-through time of the thin film target was given in this paper.Also,the scaling law betwen the mass-ablation rate and the absorbed laser intensity was shown with fitting the experimental data.
